Touristic service providers certified in The Code in Cartagena

The Code is the only international entrepreneurial social responsibility certification in the sexual exploitation area. It is an initiative led by the tourist private sector to promote responsible touristic practices and to protect children and teenagers against sexual exploitation.

It was created in 1997 by some Scandinavian tourist operators and ECPAT, Sweden, with the support of the World Tourism Organization. To date, in Colombia, 109 touristic service providers are certified of which 64 are in Cartagena de Indias, 43 in Santa Fé de Bogotá and 2 in the Santa Fé de Bogotá-Girardot touristic corridor.
